We will be working hard to ensure that this remains a safe and friendly space for people to engage with relevant issues and topics of discussion. To this end, any posts or posters that go against our community guidelines will be investigated and removed if necessary. Hiking comes with inherent risks. We do not condone posts that encourage unsafe behaviour, such as venturing into unfamiliar terrain without adequate preparation, ignoring trail closures, or disregarding property access rules. Respect nature, follow local guidance, and help keep the hiking community safe.
This is a hiking community and forum. Please keep posts relevant to hiking and related topics, such as trails, gear, safety, conservation, and outdoor experiences. When replying, keep your contributions helpful and relevant to the discussion. If a conversation sparks a new topic, create a separate post to keep threads organised. Choose the most relevant sub-forum for your post; moderators may move posts to the appropriate area where needed.
Respect other users. Any form of bullying or discrimination on any grounds (including race, sex, gender identity, sexual orientation, age, disability or religion) will not be tolerated. Users who continue to post inflammatory, abusive comments will be deleted from the forum after two warnings are issued by moderators. No threats or harassment of other users will be tolerated. Any instance of threatening or harassing behaviour is grounds for deletion from the forum.
Please bear in mind that kids and teenagers are likely to be active on this site. Keep all content family-friendly and avoid the use of any abusive or offensive language. Posts containing inappropriate adult content will be deleted.
Please refrain from posting any overtly provocative content; all trolls will be sent to the dungeon.
We support and encourage legal, ethical behaviour both outdoors and within the community. Any posts or comments that encourage or celebrate illegal activities will be removed and may be reported to the relevant parties. Such activities include trespassing, and bypassing access protocols/permits.
Please refrain from posting repetitive content or irrelevant advertisements. All automated messages, irrelevant advertisements and links to competitor websites will be deleted immediately. If you are seen to be spamming the forum, you will be issued with a warning and may be removed from the site. No reposting of copyrighted materials or other illegal content is allowed. Any posts containing illegal content or copyrighted materials will be deleted.
